About the Filmmakers

Eric Chaikin (Director/Producer) hails originally from Staten Island, NY. This is his second feature documentary at the helm. Chaikin’s debut film, Word Wars: Tiles and Tribulations on the Scrabble Circuit, premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, appeared in the DiscoveryTimes Channel’s “Screening Room” series, and earned Eric and Emmy nomination.

Tasha Oldham (Producer) won the coveted Director’s Guild of America Award for Outstanding Direction in a Documentary for her directorial debut, The Smith Family, which also earned an Emmy Award nomination. Oldham has also been selected by Filmmaker Magazine as the “#1 Face of 25 Hot New Faces to Watch in Independent Film.”

About the Camel’s Back Films

Veteran screenwriters Brandon Camp and Mike Thompson launched Camel’s Back Films with Jonathan Osborne in 2005 to focus on original, trend-setting and commercially viable movies. All three are executive producers on A Lawyer Walks into a Bar…

Camp and Thompson, who both started their careers working for producer Scott Rudin, have written numerous feature film scripts for Sony, Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Universal, and Warner Brothers, including the supernatural drama Dragonfly, starring Kevin Costner and directed by Tom Shadyac. They also were the co-creators, writers and executive producers of John Doe, a 2003 Fox television series.

Osborne is a former award-winning journalist with an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and experience in marketing, private equity and structuring film financing.
